Man's
True Condition Before God

Dear
Friend,
Many people want to believe
that they are going to find
favor and forgiveness in the
sight of God at the Judgment
and be allowed into Heaven on
their own merits. Is this
true? God gave the Ten
Commandments to show us the
answer. Consider the following
questions, and answer them from an honest
heart to find out.
Have you ever lied (even once)?
Then you are guilty of breaking
one of the Ten Commandments,
"Thou shalt not bear false
witness. . ."
Have you ever stolen something
(the value of the item doesn't
matter)? Then you are guilty of
breaking another of the Ten
Commandments, "Thou shalt not
steal."
Have you ever had sex outside of
marriage? If so, the Bible says
you're a fornicator or you've
committed adultery.
Have you ever lusted? Then
you've committed adultery in
your heart.
If you have ever hated someone,
then the Bible says you're a
murderer.
It gets worse. You see, at
birth, God gave you a
conscience. The word
"conscience" means "with
knowledge," so
every time you do something to
break one of the Ten
Commandments, you do so "with
knowledge" that it is wrong.
Remember - God is perfect, and
He knows what goes on in your
mind. When you stand before Him
at the Judgment, will you be
innocent or guilty of breaking
His law? You know - right now -
that you will be guilty, don't
you?
Now, being found guilty will
send you straight to Hell. Maybe
you don't believe that, but you
wont be in there five minutes
before you do.
BUT THERE IS HOPE! Even though
you have sinned, Jesus Christ,
God's Son, suffered and died on
the Cross, taking your
punishment on himself. Three
days later, He rose from the
dead, and now He lives
forevermore, saving from eternal
destruction in Hell all who will
come to Him.
Friend, that's GOOD NEWS! You
see, if you will repent and
trust Jesus Christ as your
Saviour, God will cleanse you of
the penalty of your sins and
give you everlasting life.
What possible reason could there
be for not doing so right now?
Stop what you're doing where you
are at this very moment, and cry
out to God -
* CONFESS to God that
you are a sinner - you've broken
at least one of His
Commandments, and that the
punishment for doing so is death
eternal in a place called Hell.
* ADMIT that you are
incapable of living "good
enough" to save your soul from
Hell, and that the only One Who
ever did live a perfect life was
Jesus Christ, God's Son.
* REPENT (change your
mind) about sin and sinning, and
turn FROM your life of sin and
TO NEW LIFE in Christ.
* ASK God to save
your soul through the blood of
Jesus Christ, and -
* RECEIVE by faith
salvation through the Lord Jesus
Christ.
If you have repented of your
sins and asked God to save you
today, I'd like to know. Drop me
an e-mail at the address below.
Or, you can write me at the
address given on our Contact Us
page.
Also - if you live in the Sapulpa
area and are looking for a
Bible-believing church where you
will be loved, taught, and
nurtured in the fear and
admonition of the Lord, why not
come see us at our next service?
Our service times and a map to our
location can be found by clicking
on the links below. If you do not
live in our area, let me encourage
you to get involved in a solid,
Bible-centered Baptist church
where you live. If you don't know
of one, drop me a note and I'll
try to help you find a suitable
church in your vicinity.
May God bless you as you seek to
live for him!
